Prof. Nie received his Ph.D degree from Institute of Biophysics, CAS. In 2008, he joined National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST). Dr. Nie was awarded the National Distinguished Youth Scientist award in 2013. Dr. Nie was a Chief Scientist of the National Basic Research Programs from 2012-2016 and 2018-2022. Dr. Nie is serving as an Executive Editor of Nano Letters. Dr. Nie is working in the field of functional biomaterials for regulation of tumor microenvironment and antitumor nanomedicines and nanovaccines. Dr. Nie has authored over 280 peer-reviewed papers, which have received a total citation of > 22,000 times based on Google Scholar, comprising papers published in Nature Biotechnology, Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Nanotechnology, Science Translational Medicine, Cancer Research, Cell Chemical Biology, Circulation Research and Nano Letters. Dr. Nie is the Founding Chief Member of Materials Biology and Intelligent Theranostics Technology Division, Chinese Biophysical Society of China, serving active scientists in the multidisciplinary fields of biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering and materials science. He is a fellow of AIMBE and RSC.
