     Zhiyong Qian, Professor of Sichuan University, the National Distinguished Young Scholar, was born in January 1976 in Jiangsu Province, PR China. Dr. Qian obtained his master degree from Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Dacheng Wu in 2000, obtained his PhD from the Chengdu Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Xiaobo Liu in 2003, and carried out postdoctoral work at Sichuan University under the supervision of Prof. Mingjing Tu (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering). In 2005 he was promoted to Full Professor at the State Key Lab of Biotherapy, West China Hospital, Sichuan University. In 2006, he became the Doctor Supervisor in Sichuan University. His research interests are in the area of biomaterials, biomedical engineering, drug delivery system, and nanotechnology. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals including Chem Soc Review, ACS Nano, Adv Sci, Biomaterials, Theranostics, Nanoscale, and etc.

     Now Prof. Qian is the Editor-in-Chief of “J Biomed Nanotechnology”, Associate Editor of “Chinese Chemical Letters”. He has been on the board of international journals, including Editor of “Human Gene Therapy” and “J Biological Engineering”.
